LUCEM Digital concrete is our contribution to a digital world. Thousands of optical fibres transport information through the concrete. On the one hand, they can be used to build hidden displays, but on the other hand they can also be used to create very robust solutions. Individualised texts, latest news and advertising messages can be projected through the walls. Different systems such as HDMI cables, WLAN or any kind of smartphone Apps can be used for connectivity.
Thanks to the high-strength translucent concrete surfaces, the LUCEM Digital Concrete Displays are absolutely vandalism-proof and can easily withstand flying glass bottles, for example. LUCEM Digital Concrete thus enables completely new application possibilities in public spaces.
Whereas classic screens in public spaces have to run almost permanently, LUCEM Digital Concrete can easily remain switched off for days at a time – the surface then blends discreetly and unobtrusively into the facade or into a piece of furniture. The result is the impression of a beautiful natural stone. Use your furniture, counters or even the entire facade as an intelligent display – with grooves for edge fixation.
