Craftmanship meets technology
Our light transmitting concrete is based on the interaction of its three main components – concrete, fibres and light.
The principle: special glass fibres are embedded in the concrete. When artificial or natural light hits the fibres, light is transmitted through the concrete – making it shine.
Sounds simple, but a sure instinct is needed to achieve the appropriate result in the manual production process. This is because the fibres are laid into the concrete carefully by hand – either layer by layer or individually and well dispersed, depending on the end product.
Factors such as distribution, flow velocity and ambient temperature influence the result anew each time, but always make our light transmitting concrete truly unique!
